We all know that a good password is the frontline of defense to protect our accounts which contain some of our work and private information stored here. For us users, using a strong password serves as our own personal bodyguard to defend us from unauthorized access to our accounts.
Below are some Password Requirements you should know when creating a password in your Sprout accounts:
- Minimum Password Length- There's no minimum password length required as password strength is being determined by a point system, by which if you reach a minimum required point for your password, it will be accepted.
- Required Type of Characters (Complexity)- Just like the minimum password length, the harder the characters in your password (eg. using a special character or not containing a sequence like 1234, qwerty, abcdef), the more it will give bigger points to hit the minimum point for password length.
- Frequency of Change- Change of password should be every 3 months from the last update of the password. By doing so, you are reducing the risk of exposure as this prevents the use of saved passwords, constant access, etc. Moreover, it's recommended to change every 3 months although this can also be waived.
- Number of Invalid attempts before lock-out- Account is being locked after 5 attempts. Though, kindly note that this is just the default rule and can still be modified by submitting a Change Request Form. This is an added data privacy and security to make sure that your password is not being logged in by an unauthorized user.

- Password History/Number of Password Remembered- The system won't let you use or recycle passwords that have already been used in the past to make sure that the password you're using is always updated and is not being remembered by unauthorized users. Thus, the system has no limit to the passwords that you can create.
