Introduction
The Daily Pulse feature in the Sprout HR mobile app enables employees to record their mood daily on a 1-5 scale, post clock-in or clock-out. It introduces a Mood Tracker on the Insight dashboard, offering managers a weekly departmental mood summary from Monday to Saturday, available each Monday at 7 AM. Additionally, the Mood Tracker includes an Employee Wellbeing list, identifying employees with mood scores of 2 or below from the previous week, which HR admins can utilize for wellness checks.
Installation Guide
Users will have to download and install the Sprout HR mobile application via the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) on their device. They will need to be logged in and enable notifications on their devices.
Minimum OS requirement
Operating System | Minimum Requirement |
iOS | iPhone 5; iOS 10.0 |
Android (Includes Huawei) | KitKat |
Once Daily Pulse is enabled for both employees and admins, the Daily Pulse feature becomes available to users with the following:
- Clock In/Out (Geotag, Geofence, and Mobile Bundy)
- Without Clock In/Out, enabled through CIAO notifications.
Clock In/Out Users
Users who use Geotag, Geofence, or Mobile Bundy will be prompted to log their daily pulse from a Likert scale of 1-5 after they have successfully clocked in or out the first time.
Non-Clock In/Out Users
When users do not have Geotag, Geofence, or Mobile Bundy, employees will have to enable CIAO to get scheduled push reminders to log their daily pulse at the start of shift and end of shift. After logging their daily pulse, a reminder to clock in or clock out will also be shown to the user.
Enabling CIAO
To enable Daily Pulse notifications, users must enable CIAO, see CIAO: Clock In and Out Notifications
Mood Tracker
The Insight Dashboard's Mood Tracker for Daily Pulse is set by default to display the previous week's data, allowing users to review weekly summaries. It is divided into four key sections, designed to provide a comprehensive overview of employee mood and wellbeing trends over time. This setup enhances user experience by simplifying access to vital data and facilitating timely interventions for employee support.
Average Daily Pulse
The summary effectively clarifies the metrics being displayed, breaking down the average mood scores across two sequential weeks and the variance between them. To enhance clarity and conciseness:
- The average mood of the week versus the prior week.
- The average mood of the previous week compared to the preceding week.
- The difference in selected vs previous, highlighting changes in employee sentiment.
Selected Week Pulse
The bar chart shows the distribution of Daily Pulse scores from 1 to 5. Selecting a specific score prompts a tooltip that shows its percentage compared to other scores, providing a detailed insight into the overall mood responses for that selected week.
Breakdown per Department
An overview of the breakdown of percentage by department is shown where the difference between the selected week against the previous week is indicated. This feature allows for a detailed comparison between the selected week and the previous one, providing actionable insights into departmental mood shifts.
Employee Wellbeing
The dashboard displays a list where employees with Daily Pulse responses of 2 and below are identified by their employee ID for Data Protection and Privacy (DPA) compliance. The default sorting order is descending, prioritizing employees based on the frequency of low Pulse Logs, and facilitating targeted wellness interventions.
Activation Process
