Introduction
When working with global teams, ensuring accurate time logs within your HR systems is crucial. For users of Sprout Mobile operating outside of the Philippines, please be aware of the following guidelines to manage time settings effectively.
Time Setting Considerations
The Sprout Mobile app aligns its operations with Philippine (PH) Time, as this is the time setting our servers currently follow. This can impact how logs and transactions appear if you are accessing the app from a different time zone.
The time displayed within the app may be derived either from your device's settings or directly from our servers. It is important to confirm which source is being used, as this affects how you should manage your settings.
An illustrative example can be seen when a user, located in Sydney, Australia, interacts with the app. Although the user's device shows the local Sydney time as 3:07 AM due to the device's timezone setting being set to Sydney, the time logs recorded by the app reflect Philippine time, as the servers use PH time.
Issues with Clock-In/Out and GeoTag/GeoFencing Features
Users might experience issues such as eternal loading or time discrepancies, especially when using features like Clock In/Clock Out or GeoTag/GeoFence. These issues are often related to discrepancies between your device's time zone settings and PH time.
To resolve such issues, we recommend adjusting your device's timezone settings to align with Philippine Time (PH time). This adjustment ensures that all functionalities related to time tracking operate smoothly and accurately.
