When we talk of biometrics, we look at the different biological features of a person that a system can use to support an algorithm for validation and security purposes. We look at the unique features each person has that he/she cant falsify or mask in order to determine that a certain feature belongs to the person on record. Some features we can consider for biometric evaluation include the voice, the face, retina, iris, one's gait, and most especially, one's fingerprint. The biometric device is an instrument that records and validates one's biometrics to allow entry to a certain area or to confirm the identity of a person. On Sprout, the biometric device is a central asset that we use to confirm attendance. If you wish to extract biologs from your biometric device, let's take a look at the steps below:
1. Plug in your flash drive in the biometric USB port.
2. Go to USB Manager under the Main Menu.
3. Select Download.
4. Under the Download tab, select Attendance Data and then hit the OK button to download the biometric logs.
Et voila! Now you have learned how to extract biologs from the biometric device.
