Some companies opt to mark the holidays for their employees just a few days before or after an actual holiday. This is called an Offset. However, since most standard holidays are already set with the given date on Sprout HR, how do we create a new holiday and mark it as the equivalent of an existing one? Let's take a look at a possible solution to this.
1. Go to the Admin dashboard of your Company's Sprout HR. From there, click on the Maintenance tab and select Company from the drop-down list that appears.
2. On the Company page, click on the Holidays tab.
3. On the Holidays page, click on the specific holiday plan you wish to edit.
4. On the specific holiday plan's page, untick the checkbox beside the holiday you wish to offset. We are doing this, instead of deleting the holiday from the standard list of holidays under the Settings page, because if we delete the holiday entirely other Holiday plans will be affected as well.
5. Under the Custom Holidays, click on the plus icon to add a holiday.
6. Fill-out the details of the new offset holiday you are creating on the pop-up box. You can give it the same name as the holiday it's replacing, and then just add "offset" to the name itself (i.e. Offset Araw ng Kagitingan). Click the Save button.
7. After this, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on the Save button there.
