Here are the steps to activate & deactivate a role in RBAC:
In RBAC, all roles are activated by default upon creation.
1. Go to Setup > Access Control
2. To deactivate a role, click Deactivate to the right of the Role name (Beside Access Level)
3. To reactivate a role, simply click Activate
*Note: Roles can only be deactivated if no users are assigned to that role. If there are users assigned to the role, they must first be re-assigned to a different role.
