Most companies expect their employees to complete the prescribed 8 hours of work per day. However, leaving the workplace earlier than the appointed dismissal time is an all too common scenario. For instance, some employees have to leave earlier than expected because of a medical emergency, while others go on an approved undertime due to private or personal matters. Either way, this should all be properly documented. Sprout HR recognizes the need for this.
Through our system, employees can document their undertime by filing an undertime application. In this form, the date, time, and reason for the undertime can be specified.
However, please bear in mind that having an approved undertime will not automatically resolve any schedule discrepancies on the Resolution Center. The main purpose of filing an undertime is to serve as a proof that the immediate supervisor has full knowledge and understanding that the employee left work earlier than the expected dismissal time.
If you would like for the schedule discrepancy to be removed from the Resolution Center (in case COA, OB, and leaves are not applicable), you can simply choose to ignore it.
I hope this information helps! For any further questions or concerns, feel free to message us at experts@sprout.ph. We look forward to hearing from you.
