In case you are not yet aware, the separation date is defined as the date right after the employee's last day of employment. Once you attempt to change an employee's status to terminated or resigned, you would be required by the system to input the corresponding separation date.
It is an all-too-common scenario when an employee decides to retract his or her resignation. For situations like these, the HR administrator would have to change the employee's status once more from terminated/resigned to probationary/regular. However, even after changing the status back, you might have noticed that the separation date is still displayed on the employee's profile. This is to ensure that everything gets documented.
If this is bothering you, you can always fill out our change request form so that our support engineers could have this removed on their end.
I hope this information helps!
