In the rare instance that multiple employees have failed to clock in or out of the workplace due to a biometric device malfunction, Sprout's bulk upload feature can be utilized to ensure that the employees' time in and out are properly documented in the system.
When making use of this feature, it is important that the user follows the template's prescribed format. Here is a simple guide to help you out:
(1) Biometric ID
- The biometric ID should already be existing. Before uploading the template, make sure the biometric ID is correct and already pre-existing in the system. Otherwise, the logs inputted will not reflect in Sprout HR.
- Format should always be General.
(2) Log Mode
- Log mode determines the classification of the time being inputted. There can only be two (2) options: (1) IN or, (2) OUT. These options can be chosen from the template's drop-down menu.
- Format should always be General.
(3) Log Time
- Indicates the specific time when the employee clocked in or out. When inputting the time, make sure it follow this particular format: HH:mm am/pm (hours:minutes am/pm)
- Format should always be Text.
(4) Log Date
- Date format should always follow the two-digit month/two-digit day/four-digit year format (mm/dd/yyyy).
- Format should always be General.
I hope this helps!
