Every time changes are made on Sprout Payroll, the system can track these changes made by a particular user. This feature is called the Audit Trail. So, what changes are covered by the Audit Trail? Let’s explore this useful feature.
Under the Setup tab on the Navigation toolbar on Sprout Payroll, select Company from the drop-down list and click on Profile. Scroll down the page, and you can click on the Audit trail button at the bottom of the page.
Under the Payroll Runs tab on the Navigation toolbar in Sprout Payroll, go to the rightmost column on the page and click on 'Audit Trail' to view the latest changes made.
Under the Users tab on the Navigation toolbar in Sprout Payroll, go to the rightmost column on the page and click on 'Audit Trail' to view the latest changes made.
Under the Setup tab, select 'Company' from the drop-down list. The following have audit trails: Cost Center, General Ledger, Department, and Pay Group. In the rightmost column of the page, click on 'Audit Trail' to view the latest changes made.
Note: The Audit Trail for Departments is available for Sprout Payroll only or if Sprout HR is not synced with Sprout Payroll.
Under the Employees tab on the Navigation toolbar in Sprout Payroll, go to the rightmost column on the page and click on 'Audit Trail' to view the latest changes made.
There are other changes that will fall under the User’s activities.
This includes:
- Deleted payrolls
- Generating and sending of payslip
- Changes in OT tables
