In order for the biometric device to properly reflect the IN and Out mode of all the inputs made on the device, one has to setup the Punch State mode. The punch state mode indicates whether the push of a finger can be identified as a log in at the start of the shift, or a log out at the end of it. To setup this crucial aspect in your biometric device and in the setup of your Sprout HR and Payroll, you may follow the steps given below:
1.) Go the Main Interface of the Biometric Device.
2.) Select Personalize.
3.) Then choose Punch State Options.
4.) Finally, select Manual and Auto Mode in the Punch State Mode.
These steps will help properly configure your device to recognize the In's and Out's of your employees for keeping tabs on their Attendance Report and Payroll.
