First log-in Consent and Data Privacy

 

 

Data Privacy is an extremely crucial aspect for businesses -- this is why it is everyone’s responsibility to be informed of their rights as data providers and why companies must be up to government standards as data collectors.

 

In line with the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), Sprout's initiative is to help employers get consent from their employees to process their data using the system.

 

Therefore, every time a new employee logs in to Sprout HR for the first time, they’ll be redirected to a consent page where new users have to click "Continue to Sprout HR" to agree and give consent to Sprout to process their data.

Here’s the complete text of the Personal Information Processing form:

"By accessing and using hrhub.ph, as well as the online, mobile, software, application, and other services (“Services”) of Sprout Solutions, Inc. (“Company”), you agree, without restriction, to consent Sprout Solutions and its third party service providers to collect, use, retain, disclose, and process your personal information for below purposes:

1.  To provide and improve the Company’s services;
2.  To administer your use of the Websites and Services;
3.  To improve the Websites and Services;
4.  To better understand your needs and interests;
5.  To personalize and improve your experiences;
6.   To process any request made by you; and
7.  To provide or offer software updates and product announcements.
   

This information will be kept for a period as necessary to the business of the employer client.  You have the right to request for your personal information that Sprout Solutions holds. If your data is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant,  You can ask to have your information corrected or removed. It is imperative for everyone to be aware of the capabilities and limitations one has when it comes to the management, protection, and use of personal and sensitive personal information. In this age of what others have dubbed as Surveillance Capitalism, it pays to be vigilant and conscientious of one's data and other people's as well.
