We're introducing a new field on Sprout HR under the Work Information tab: User Types.
In order for us to eliminate the difference between the Employment Status on both modules, we’ve developed a way to differentiate the actual employment status from the type of user.
Our main goal is to make sure that we retain proper employment status on both Sprout HR and Payroll while separating those that are user types. In the future, we will add more options for the User Types as well as other ways to tag a user.
Currently, the options under User Types are Employee, Intern (Active), and Intern/ (Ended)
When the 'Employee' user type is selected, the Employment Status drop-down will be activated enabling you to select the Employment Status.
Intern and OJT have no equivalent status in Sprout Payroll thus no syncing will happen if a user is tagged as 'Intern (Active)' or 'Intern (Ended).'
Take note that in the bulk upload, OJT and OJT Ended are still included in the Employment Status Dropdown but will appear in the Employee Profile as shown in the images above.
