An extensive medical test for a job is required for most companies. A lot of employees often wonder -- what exactly are employers checking for? why is this important? what if the company finds out about any underlying conditions? will it make you less hireable?
Good and law-abiding employers take their duty of care towards their employees very seriously. This is to ensure that any prospective risks that a new employee may bring in will be accounted for and taken into consideration. For example, pre-employment medical assessment is necessary and vital in avoiding illness or unintentional harm to the applicant or fellow employee.
On Sprout HR, we make sure that authorized personnel can securely access private and individual employee medical information. Under the Employee Profile, there's a Medical Records section that would allow employers to securely document and save medical documents. These documents can encompass pre-employment medical assessment, random drug testing results, annual physical examination, and the like. On this section, you can indicate the following: (1) File Name, (2) Creation Time, (3) Classification, and (4) Notes.
I hope this information helps! For any, further questions, please send us an email at experts@sprout.ph. We look forward to hearing from you.
