For a lot of first-time users, the difference between these two schedule types may seem self-explanatory. It is understood that for employees with a normal shift type, they are required to render 9 hours of work (inclusive of break) based on the fixed scheduled shift of the day. For flexible per day, it is not that simple. Having a flexible schedule type does not necessarily mean that you can clock-in and clock-out of the office any time you want. Flexible per day employees are still required to work based on their assigned core hours. In this article is an infographic that summarizes the difference between the two schedule types.
I hope this information helps!
