Last June 19, 2018, Sprout's Development Team released several updates for both HR and Payroll. One of these is the syncing of departments. In this update, we merged the departments between Sprout HR and Payroll into a single list which will be reflected in both modules.
Here are the changes to take note of:
1. Before the deployment, the Sprout HR department list displays only the Name.
2. After the sync, the new department list will reflect both Name and Code on Sprout HR and Payroll.
Keep in mind that this is a one-way sync. For users who are on both Sprout HR and Payroll, managing departments (adding, editing, and deleting) can now only be done via Sprout HR.
For users who are on Sprout Payroll only, managing the departments will still be possible via Sprout Payroll.
Once updated, the departments for both Sprout HR and Sprout Payroll will be in-sync and the same.
