In line with Sprout's project of fully syncing the HR and Payroll Databases, we have increased our validation and security process.
Included in this development is adding new required fields on the employee profile. Previously, government or statutory information of employees was not a required field on Sprout HR. It was a required field on the employee information page on Sprout Payroll. However, during syncing, the employee profile on Sprout HR will be the sole basis for employee information on both databases. Hence, the statutory information of each employee, including their respective tax status are now required fields on Sprout HR.

As can be seen in the screenshot above, we have indicated the required number of characters for each of the types of government identification numbers. The PRC license and passport numbers are not required for this, however.
As for the Tax status, this has to be filled out with the correct status for recording purposes.
