Simultaneous Payroll Runs

Before, Sprout Payroll users can only process one payroll run at a time. Once a payroll run has been created, other users would need to wait their turn to process their assigned runs since the 'Create new payroll' button is automatically hidden.

Multiple users can now be able to simultaneously process different runs. Users can now create a new payroll run even while there is a pending once under the following conditions:

• The payroll run is not for the same pay group.

• It is not the same payroll run type.

• It is not the same pay period.

There is no limit to the number of payroll runs users can simultaneously process but to ensure optimum performance, we recommend up to 5 runs only.

Note that the visibility and ability to create payroll runs is based on user's RBAC permissions. In the sample above, both users have the same access roles for better visualization
