Currently, the Sprout Mobile App has the capability to geofence a specific area for employees to clock in & out. With this update, the mobile app would have the capability to geofence different locations assigned to each employee.
You will notice a new look with the Locations page where you can create and edit your locations, add the Longitude and Latitude,and choose the desired radius of each location you want geofenced. For a quick refresher on how to add locations, you may take a look at our article here.
Location geofenced in the mobile app:
A new section in the employee profile will be added - Location. Here you can assign multiple locations per employee. While multiple locations can be assigned, there must be only one designated location tagged to each user as this will be the basis for filtering in different reports and location based holidays.
In order to assign an employee to a location, you may go to their Employee Profile and select from the added locations in the said tab. Simply click the radio button that corresponds to the employee's workplace.
Some tips and reminders:
- If geofencing is enabled but there are no values in the coordinates and radius, there would be no fence (green circle) in the mobile app and employees would not be able to use the geofencing feature to clock-in/out.
