We are letting you know about the latest updates on Sprout Payroll! A useful new feature that is now available!
Let's check out the new feature and system update for Sprout Payroll: InstaCash Repayment DAT File in Sprout Payroll! This feature will be available to clients who are users of the following:
- InstaCash Subscribers
- Using 1 bank: Either BDO, BPI, or Unionbank for all Employees
InstaCash users with InstaCash repayment amount on a specific Payroll Run will now be able to download a DAT File with the total amount to be repaid to Advance, together with the payroll of the employees.
This means that Advance’s bank information for BDO, BPI, or Unionbank will be added to the DAT files and the client's total InstaCash repayment amount, alongside their employees’ payroll.
This option, Payroll + InstaCash DAT File, is available on the following Payroll Run types:
- Normal Run
- Special Run
- Final Pay Run
The payroll processor must meet the following preconditions in order to use the additional options:
- There is an InstaCash repayment amount in the specific Payroll Run.
- Payroll Run is in Approved Status
Once the user has processed the Payroll Run, and the Bank DAT file is now ready for download, they will now see the option to download Payroll + InstaCash DAT File.
Together with the DAT File, an InstaCash Loan Report will be generated which lists down all the employees with InstaCash deductions during the payroll run. This will help our admins identify which employees have been deducted with InstaCash during the payroll run and reconcile any amounts, if necessary.
Under the InstaCash Loan Report, only automatic InstaCash deductions and one-time, manual, negative loan adjustments are included in the report. Here are the identifiers for the included records:
- Adjustment Type: External Loan
- Adjustment Name: Sprout Loans Advance
- Adjustment Code: loansadv
- Should be a one-time adjustment (not recurring)
Both the DAT file and InstaCash Loan Report will be downloaded under a zipped file.
What happens if the processor tries downloading the DAT file with InstaCash details but the Payroll Run is not yet approved?
The user will be prompted to approve InstaCash deductions to avoid penalties.
Upon downloading the file with InstaCash details, it will trigger an email to Advance for possible repayment.
