What Are Browser Cookies and Why Do You Need to Enable Them?
Cookies are small pieces of data stored in your web browser by websites you visit. They allow the website to remember your preferences, login information, and other customizations for a smoother browsing experience. While enabling cookies is optional, trusted sites like Sprout HR may need them to function properly and offer personalized user experiences.
If you're facing this error, it simply means that your browser has cookies disabled, which prevents Sprout System from storing necessary data. But don’t fret — you can easily enable cookies in your browser by following the simple steps below.
Steps to Enable Cookies
For Google Chrome Users (Desktop)
- Open Chrome.
- In the top right corner, click the three vertical dots (More) > Settings.
- Scroll down to Privacy and Security, and select Site Settings.
- Click on Cookies and site data.
- Enable the option Allow third-party cookies.
For Microsoft Edge Users (Desktop)
- Open Edge, click on the three dots (Settings and more) in the upper-right corner.
- Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions.
- Select Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Toggle Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended) to enable cookies.
For Mobile Browser Users (Google Chrome on Android)
