Have your employee/s encountered the following error while using the Sprout Mobile app? This issue commonly arises for employees who are newly added, transferred, or reassigned to a new department.
If you're seeing this error, there's no need to worry! The prompt simply means that no clock-in feature has been configured for the employee's department. Without a clock-in feature, the app will still allow access to other features such as payslips and attendance viewing, but clock-in and clock-out functionalities will remain unavailable.
How to Enable Clock-In Features for the Mobile App
To enable clock-in/out functionalities, you'll need to submit a Change Request Form. Once processed, you'll receive updates via a separate ticket. Here's what to include and your options:
Details to include in the CRF:
- Department Name/s: Specify which department requires the clock-in method.
- Preferred Clock-In Feature: Choose one of the available clock-in options below.
Clock-In Features:
1. Geotagging
- Allows employees to clock in/out from any location using the mobile app.
- CRF Details Required: Indicate the department name(s) or specify "All Departments" if applicable.

- Only one method (Geotagging or Geofencing) can be enabled per department.
- All employees in the designated department will use the feature once activated.

2. Geofencing
- Restricts clock-in/out to a specific location within a defined radius, configured via the Sprout HR web app.
- CRF Details Required: Provide the department name(s) and the associated location (e.g., "HR Department - ABC Building").

- All employees in the designated department will use the feature once activated.

3. Mobile Bundy
- A simplified clock-in/out method that does not track location, unlike Geotagging and Geofencing.
- CRF Details Required: Ensure no Geotag/Geofence is enabled, and confirm that Web Bundy is activated.
