There will be times when the One-Time-Password being sent via text message is not received by a user. The possible factors could be the mobile's signal to receive messages, mobile network operator issues, device settings, and many more.
When this happens, users will still be allowed to request a new one. In fact, they are allowed to request OTP 5 times. Once the user tries to submit another request after the trial limit, his Sprout HR Profile will be locked out. This can be resolved by following the steps in this article.
With all the information above in mind, here's how users can request the One-Time Password via SMS (Text Message).
- From the OTP page, click Request a new OTP.
- In the Request for a new OTP message that appears, click Confirm.
- A success message is displayed indicating the number of remaining OTP requests the users have left and a new OTP is sent to the registered primary mobile number.
Should you wish to enable this feature, you may reach out to your Customer Success Manager or fill out our Change Request Form.
