With the new design of the Work Information tab comes a new feature which is the Future-Dated Separation Date where admins can set a separation date in advance and employees can still access Sprout HR during their rendering period. To know more, keep on reading our guide below!
1. Navigate to the Employee Profile and go to the Work Information tab.
2. Change the Employment Status to 'Resigned'.
A pop-up will appear, requiring the user to input Expected Separation Date and Reason for Leaving
3. Input the expected separation date as well as the employee's reason for leaving.
Please note that the separation date should be one day after their actual last day.
4. Click Save Changes
If you click Cancel, then the changes will not take effect and you will be directed back to the Work Information Section.
5. Once Saved, you will see a confirmation message that the change has been successfully applied.
You will notice that the Employment Status will remain the same. However, you will see an information banner to remind you that the status will automatically change to Resigned once the Expected Separation Date is reached.
There will also be an additional row to display the following information:
- Expected Separation Date
- Separation Date
- Reason For Leaving
Note: To view your own “Work Information” or that of another user, make sure you have a “View” access on the “Employee Profile tab > Work Information section” plus the user you wish to view is within your “Viewing” access in the Access Level module.
