What is Performance+ Employee Sync?
Performance+ is an integrated, automated, and extremely flexible combination of performance management and a learning management system. Equipped with Employee Sync, changes in the relevant fields in Employee 201 made in Sprout HR will automatically be reflected in the Performance+ application.
How to set it up?
To make this feature work, the Username of the employee must be the same in both Performance+ and Sprout HR as this is being used as the primary key for employee data synchronization.
If this is not the case, the Perf+ admin can make changes in the username per each employee or Sprout and our partner can help with the mass update as long as the configured emails of the employees in Performance+ are the same as their Sprout HR primary emails.
After properly setting up the Employee’s usernames, Sprout will enable the feature behind the scenes upon your request.
How does it work?
Once enabled, this functionality works behind the scenes when you make updates in the Employee 201 Profile in both single and bulk updates. Modification of the Employee Data can only be performed by someone with the correct access level, by default it is the HR Admin.
There is no additional step on top of the normal process for performing both single and bulk updates to the Employee 201 profile.

Not all the Employee 201 fields are synchronized to Performance+. Only those that are relevant and have a direct mapping.
The following fields are currently being synchronized to Performance+:
- First Name
- Middle Name
- Last Name
- Employee Number
- Location
- Job Title
- Termination Date
- Immediate Supervisor
- The counterpart user in Performance+ must be configured as an appraiser.
- Hire Date
- Department

The automatic syncing is done behind the scenes. No need for the Admin to reapply the updates on these fields to Performance+ after making the updates in Sprout HR.
Synchronizing the changes in the value of Department and Location is also supported. These are changes that can be made under the Maintenance Tab.
Kindly note that changing the Immediate Supervisor will retain the previous performance evaluations made for the given employee by the previous Immediate Supervisor. Changing the Immediate Supervisor reflects in the Appraiser field in the Employee Data in Performance+. In order for Performance+ to accept the changes for the Employee’s Appraiser, the new immediate supervisor must be an appraiser on the Performance+ side. To manage the list of appraisers go to the Appraiser Setup in Performance+
Limitations
- Updates on Terminate Date triggered by the future-dated resignation in Sprout HR is not supported by the Performance+ Employee Sync feature.
