One of the main reports in Sprout Payroll is the Payroll Summary, also known as Payroll Register, since it shows the summary of compensation and deductions per employee. With this, we have created a simplified version of the report to help with month-end reports.
What’s New?
Report Generators will now have an option for the Payroll Summary format they are going to download. It is configurable in Company Profile to select if they are to download the Default or the New Payroll Summary Report.
Company Profile New Section
Under Set Up > Company > Profile, a new section can be seen called Payroll Report Settings. Below, users can select which Payroll Summary Format they want to use every time they download this report.
- Default - summarized version of the earnings and deductions in one spreadsheet.
- New - contains 6 different sheets which shows the following summary:
- Payroll Register Summarized - summary of processed payroll per employee which shows the following information:
- Basic Salary
- Absent Deductions
- Gross Income
- Statutory Government Deductions
- Employee Share
- Employer Share
- Withholding Tax
- Total Deductions
- Net Pay
- Absent Register - all absent deduction amount and to which payroll component it was deducted will be shown here.
- Undertime Register - all late/undertime deduction amount and to which payroll component it was deducted will be shown here.
- Overtime Register - all overtime compensation amount will be shown here.
- Earnings Register - all positive adjustments will be shown here, except OT since there is a separate tab for it.
- Deductions Register - all negative adjustments will be shown here, except Absent and Undertime since there are separate tabs for those.
- Payroll Register Summarized - summary of processed payroll per employee which shows the following information:
