Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Schedule Type: Normal Shift
If an employee files a Schedule Adjustment to change his shift to 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM on an ordinary day, the employee will get an error (as shown below) and will not be able to proceed.
Take note that as an Admin, you will also be unable to proceed if the Schedule Adjustment is less than their required hours to work.

In order to allow the Normal Shift employees to file Schedule Adjustments less than the required hours to work, you need to enable this policy by submitting a Change Request Form
For Holiday and/or Rest Day work, Schedule Adjustments less than the required hours to work is allowed. However, please take note that the Holiday/Rest Day premiums are based on the shift of the employee for the day.
Using the Default Schedule above, an employee filed a Schedule Adjustment to work half-day on a Holiday or Rest Day. The Attendance Report will only base the premium on the shift indicated on the Schedule Adjustment.
Attendance Report for Holiday, with 1 hour break:
Attendance Report for Rest Day, with 1 hour break:
Unlike Normal Shift, the Schedule Adjustment for a Flexible Schedule per Day less than the required hours to work will be accepted in the system since the Flexible Schedule per Day is being set with Core Hours only.
Here's a sample:
Required hours to work including break: 9 hours
Core hours: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Schedule Type: Flexible Schedule per Day
It also works with holidays and Rest Days. However, keep in mind that Flexible Schedule per Day needs to complete their required hours to work even on ordinary days to avoid late/undertime but If the policy to deduct late/undertime on holiday/rest days is disabled, the employee may be allowed to logout and not complete the required hours to work without incurring late/undertime. You need to submit a Change Request Form if you wish to disable this policy.
