With the release of Sprout HR's new feature, Announcement Module, you're probably wondering where you can set this up on your account. By default, the Announcement Module is disabled and as such, it needs to be configured first before you can start using this.
Wondering what the Announcement module is and how it works? Before we begin, you can review this article for a quick refresher: Announcement Module: Overview & FAQ
Now how can this be enabled? Keep on reading below!
1. On your Sprout HR account, click the Maintenance menu.
2. Click the Access Levels sub-menu.
3. Select the User to where you can configure the Announcement Module setup.
Note: By default, users with Admin rights are the only ones enabled to use this feature (adding/posting, viewing, and canceling posted Announcements), and only the users under the same client as the Admin should see the announcement posted by the latter.
4. Click the Navigation Access tab.
5. Scroll to the bottom until you see the Announcement Module section and tick the checkbox.
6. Once done, scroll back up and click Save.
7. Make sure that the changes were saved successfully.
Reminders:
- This feature can only be enabled for Admin and Manager Dashboard/Users.
- Once enabled, the Admin only needs to refresh the Sprout HR Dashboard for the announcement module to appear under Administration Tools drop-down menu.
- The announcement module does not have a delete option yet, and you will have to wait until the posted/active announcement will end/expires but rest assured that our Product Team is already working on adding the Delete feature
- As of the moment, only scheduled announcements can be canceled, and active announcements will automatically disappear on the banner once expired.
- All announcements created will still be on the list (active, pass, scheduled).
