Let's take a look at how we can setup this double holiday on Sprout HR:
1. On the Maintenance tab on the Navigation toolbar, select Company from the drop-down list that appears.
2. On the Company page, click on the Holidays tab.
3. Select Default Holiday Plan.
4. Click on the here link or the plus sign icon to add a Custom Holiday. Note that we cannot add a holiday with the same day under Standard Holidays, because the system doesn't allow it. So we shall add the holiday with the same day under the Custom Holidays.
5. A notification message will appear that a Double Holiday is detected. This means that the holiday type of Ninoy Aquino Day (which is under Standard Holiday) will be followed. The holiday types in the system are Non-Working Holiday, Mandatory Holiday and Optional Holiday. Again, this only refers to the holiday type, not the holiday premium rate (which is automatically DH rate for double holidays).
6. After filling out the correct details as seen above, and then clicking on the Save button, make sure that the checkbox is ticked beside the new Custom Holiday, and then click on the Save button below.
Et voila! You have now setup the double holiday on Sprout. For any questions or concerns you may have regarding this, feel free to message us experts@sprout.ph. We look forward to hearing from you.
