We're happy to announce that by this Friday morning (3/29), the new SSS Contribution Table is now available in Sprout Payroll.
Payroll runs created for April 2019 onwards will use the new table in computing employees’ SSS contributions.
These new values will also be available in the SSS Contribution drop down in the Employee Profile page as seen in the image below.
Please note that for employees with fixed SSS Contribution amount in their Employee Profile, the amount set up prior to our release won't be visible since the values from the old table isn't available anymore. You would need to update the SSS Contribution of these employees.
Here are the steps to update your Employee's SSS Contribution:
For Non Synced Accounts
1. Employee Profile
- Go to the Employee Profile of the Employee
- Scroll down to SSS CONTRIBUTION
- If you want to set up a fixed amount, click the drop down and select your desired fixed amount for the employee
- If you want to let the system decide, select Let the System Decide
- Click Update
2. Bulk Upload: Edit Employee Template
- Go to Employees
- Click Import Excel and select Bulk Edit
- Open the downloaded file
- Go to Column AP for the SSS Contribution
- If you want to set up a fixed amount, click the drop down and select your desired fixed amount for the employee
- If you want to let the system decide, just leave the cell blank
- Save the file
- Go back to Sprout Payroll, click Choose File then select the template and click Import File
- The system would notify you about the status of the upload
For Synced Accounts
For Synced Accounts using the Bulk Upload, the updated SSS Contribution would reflect in the Employee Profile and Employee Template starting April 1, 2019. You may proceed with following these steps starting April 1st
1. Employee Profile
- On Sprout HR, go to the employee's Employee Profile
- Under Current Payroll Information, scroll down to SSS CONTRIBUTION
- If you want to set up a fixed amount, click the drop down and select your desired fixed amount for the employee
- If you want to let the system decide, select Let the System Decide
- Click Save
2. Bulk Upload: Edit Employee Template
- On Sprout HR, go to Administration Tools > Bulk Upload
- Under Employee Information, select the Company and click Edit existing employees (the Update template will be sent via email)
- Open the downloaded file from your email
- Go to Column CJ for the SSS Contribution
- If you want to set up a fixed amount, click the drop down and select your desired fixed amount for the employee
- If you want to let the system decide, just leave the cell blank
- Save the file
- Go back to Sprout HR, click Choose File then select the template and click Upload
- The system would notify you about the status of the upload
