We recently made an update for Sprout HR's real-time logs fetching which we call the Push Function.
What is the Push Function?
- Logs are directly sent to Sprout HR from the biometric device via its serial number. Unlike before, where the logs are sent to a fetcher first before to the Sprout HR, with the Push Function, once an employee logs in/out via the device, the logs would be forwarded to the Sprout HR right away (in real time).
However, we require that the device has an ADMS (Automatic Data Master Server) Function.
Phase 1
Here are the guided steps to check if your device has the ADMS Function to enable the Auto Push Function.
Step 1: Go to the main menu of your biometric device and select COMM. if available (See Figure 1).
Figure 1:
Step 2: If you’re able to find the COMM., click it then look for the ADMS and then press OK.
If you can't find the ADMS tab, please contact your biometrics provider if the device you're using can be updated to enable the ADMS function
Step 3: Turn On the domain name so that you can enter the exact server address (as seen in Figure 2).
For existing devices, please use http://logreceiver.hrhub.ph or http://logreceiver.sprout.ph*
*We will keep you posted once the new links will be used.
For newly acquired devices, please use the following:
Again, if the domain name is not available, contact your biometrics provider to check if your current device can be updated to enable the domain name function.

Step 4: The last step is to get the serial number of all the devices used by your company and to send it to your Customer Success Manager so we can register your device/s on our end.
Phase 2
Enable internet connection on the Biometric device when using ADMS function.
- From the Biometric device, navigate to the Menu section and go to COMM.
- From the COMM., navigate to the Ethernet section.
- From the Ethernet find the DHCP tab and make sure it's turned ON.
- Now find the DNS tab and make sure that the DNS is correct to what is provided in your network area.
- Now find the Gateway tab and make sure that the gateway is correct to what is provided in your network area.
- Now find the IP Address tab and make sure that the IP Address is correct to what is provided in your network area. (Please see image below for reference) If everything is now configured then Push Function should work properly right now.
