In the Knowledge Base article How to Post an Announcement, we explained how to easily post an announcement in HR. Nevertheless, in order for the created announcements to be successfully shown on Sprout HR, please remember that the time and date ranges are not continuous but simply repeat for each day.
Here are a few examples of scenarios to further illustrate this:
Scenario 1:
Start Date: June 28, 2022
End Date: June 30, 2022
Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Time: 10:00 PM
Dates: June 28, 29, and 30
- From 12:00 AM to 09:59 AM, the Announcement will not be displayed
- From 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the Announcement will be displayed
- From 10:01 PM to 11:59 PM, the Announcement will not be displayed
The announcement will only be displayed in HR for the specified time period of each day and it will not be continuous. In this case, it will be reflected every 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM only for June 28, 29, and 30.
Scenario 2:
Start Date: June 28, 2022
End Date: June 30, 2022
Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Time: 11:59 PM
The Announcement will be displayed from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM on June 28, 29, and 30.
Note: For the display of overlapping announcements, the priority will be based on the latest date created.
Scenario 3:
Start Date: June 28, 2022
End Date: June 30, 2022
Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Time: 12:00 AM
The created announcement, despite being active in the Announcements module, will not appear in the HR Dashboard because the time set up is not running.
In this case, the time range is considered invalid because the Time Start and Time End are the same. The announcement is supposed to be displayed from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM for each date (June 28, 29, and 30), but it will not be reflected since the time is already considered running out at the same time it tried to show up. Hence, no banner will be displayed.
