We currently have 2 ways of generating attendance, which apply to employees whose logs cross from one day to another. Usually, this is more useful if the days affected are a combination of any of the following:
- Regular Day
- Rest Day
- Legal Holiday
- Special Holiday
- Double Holiday
- Rest Day-Legal Holiday
- Rest Day-Special Holiday
- Rest Day-Double Holiday
The combination of any of the above can be computed by either of these 2 types of attendance computations:
- Real-Time/Standard - Attendance will be computed depending on what type of day the hours fall under.
- First Shift Basis- Attendance will be computed based on the type of day during the first part of the shift.
For a quick refresher, you may check out this article: What Are the Types of Attendance Computation?
We recently enhanced the Standard computation of RD-ND and RD-ND-OT hours premium. The RD-ND and RD-ND-OT hours premium will follow the day the hours fall under the enhanced computation. This ensures that premiums reflect correctly for the employees with schedules crossing over their rest days.
What’s the difference with the current behavior?
Let’s look at the example below:

*Note: The system will stop counting after the 9th hour (or to what is set in the Employee Profile) as the excess hours should be filed as overtime.
The enhancement is defaulted to all clients using the Standard Compute Type. Due to some client requests, on December 17, 2021, this will be turned off and clients will have the option to retain the default set-up or activate the enhanced version.
Should you wish to enable this enhancement, you may reach out to your Customer Success Manager or fill out our Change Request Form.
