In Sprout HR, there are three types of holidays:
- Non-Working
- Optional
- Mandatory
This section focuses on the Mandatory Working Holiday and the process for submitting an Overtime Application when the date is categorized as such in Sprout HR.
It is important to note that on a Mandatory Working Holiday, employees are required to report to work and must log their hours as they would on a regular working day. The key difference is that the day is designated as a holiday.
However, please be reminded that as this is a holiday, employees are not obligated to work overtime. Additionally, the system does not permit the submission of Overtime Applications on Mandatory Working Holidays.
You will encounter this type of message:
Now, what if the employee is rendered overtime and should be paid as well? What should be done in this scenario?
First, please refer to the sample Mandatory Holiday and how it normally looks in the Attendance Report
The date is tagged as a Holiday but is presented as Absent due to no logs being recorded. The Schedule to be followed here will be the Default Schedule of the employee.
