On the Employee Profile in Sprout HR, you have the option to choose an employee's employment status. This can range from regular, probationary, and contractual to name a few. But, only Regular and Probationary employees benefit from the automatic accrual of leaves on Sprout HR; what if you have On-the-Job Trainees who you wish to allow to file leaves?
Here is what you could do:
You will need to manually add or deduct the credits on their leave plan.
If the OJT's contract stipulates that he or she is entitled to paid leave during training, you'll need to manually add them to the leave plan and then, manually add credits. You may refer to this KB articles here as a guide on How to Assign Employees to Standard Leave Plans and How to Manually Add or Deduct Leave Credits
Or, if you want your OJT to be able to file for LWOP, you may follow our KB article on how employees can file Unpaid leave in Sprout HR. Here: How Can Employees File an Unpaid Leave Even If They Still Have Available Credits?
However, kindly be informed that employees with OJT status are not really part of the Attendance Management and Attendance Report since they are really not part of the headcount. Hence, you won't be able to see their attendance, but you can check their leave accruals on their profile under leave plans and usage or, extract their leave report.
