One way to manually add or deduct leave credits is through a manual upload into the system. The question, however, is how the change in the leave credits (via upload) reflect on the employee's leave ledger (found under Leave Plans and Usage of the profile).
Just for a quick refresher here is How to Manually Add or Deduct Leave Credits.
When you import credits, this will only replace the current credits on the employee's profile and will not simply add nor deduct from what already exists. The leave ledger in this instance, will reflect the difference between the previous total credits and the newly uploaded total credits.
Let's take a look at some scenarios below:
Example 1:
Current credits before upload = 5 credits
Credits input in the upload template = 8 credits
Result:
Updated total credits = 8 credits (same as what was indicated in the template)
Leave ledger reflects additional 3 credits (8 updated credits less 5 credits before upload)
Example 2:
Current credits before upload = 5 credits
Credits inputted in the upload template = 3 credits
Result:
Updated total credits = 3 credits (same as what was indicated in the template)
Leave ledger reflects negative 2 (-2.00) credits (3 updated credits less 5 credits before upload)
