The Compensatory Time Off Feature of Sprout HR allows our clients to convert their overtime minutes into fileable leave credits. The best part about this feature is that HR Admins no longer need to manually compute the equivalent leave credits based on the overtime hours rendered by their employees!
On top of this, upon the approval of the Compensatory Time Off Application, the credits will reflect and be ready for usage automatically. Less work and intervention as there will be no manual crediting of credits! Here’s an article to know more about this feature: Compensatory Time Offs--How Does it Work?
For new companies created after the release of this feature and existing clients, an activation request must be done first by sending a Change Request Form. This is done so that the system will enable the special policies such as the conversion of overtime minutes into Compensatory Time Off leave credits.
Once activated, you need to manually create a new leave type that is named exactly "Compensatory Time Off".
But what will happen if the plan was created first prior to the activation? It would not appear in the list of plans available and as such, the plan could not be modified. Continue reading this article to know more about what should be done.
-
A Change Request Form would be needed to modify the created Compensatory Time Off’s plan name into a dummy one. This must be done as there should only be 1 plan named Compensatory Time Off in the system.
You can use, CTO Old, CTO Dummy or etc.
Note: Once renamed, only then can you proceed to deactivate the old CTO plan
-
Send another Change Request Form and request for the activation of the Compensatory Time Off.
- Once activated, you can proceed to create the new plan again using Compensatory Time Off as the plan name.
Pretty easy, right? Let us know if you have any other questions! Feel free to email us back at experts@sprout.ph and we’d be very happy to help you out!
