Manual temperature checking can result in long queues upon entering the workplace, which poses risks to employees having close contact with other employees. The temperature monitoring feature is the solution created to ease the burden of manual temperature checking on employees.
Temperature monitoring is used to record employees' temperature logs in a day and can later be exported as an Excel report.
Before this feature can be used in Sprout HR, these prerequisites must be met:
- The client needs a biometric device, like Speedface V5, that is capable of reading body temperature
- The client needs to accomplish a signed CRF requesting a temperature monitoring feature and their specified temperature threshold value. The usual temperature threshold value is 37°C (degree Celsius).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- If the employee used the biometrics multiple times a day, will it record all the temperature logs during multiple time-ins?
- Answer: Yes, all time-ins will be recorded at the same time all the temperature readings.
- What happens if my initial temperature is beyond the threshold, and I requested another temperature check and the reading becomes normal?
- Answer: The admin should edit your temperature log to replace the previous temperature reading. The admin also needs to include a note.
- Is it possible to change the temperature threshold?
- Answer: Yes, but you need to submit an accomplished CRF to request a temperature threshold change. The new threshold will only apply to new temperature logs.
Example:
The company’s original temperature threshold is set to 37°C (degree Celsius) but was updated to 36.8°C (degree Celsius) by November 1. Only temperature logs starting November 1 will follow the new temperature threshold as a basis for normal and beyond threshold values. - Can a normal temperature log be edited?
- Answer: Yes, a normal temperature can be edited.
