Currently, the Employee's resignation date is noted manually. The Admin needs a separate tracker to tag the Employee as resigned on the exact resignation date. Now, with the Future-dated Tagging of Resignation feature in place, Admins/Managers can file the expected date of separation earlier than the actual effectivity of the resignation date.
They can update the Employment Status to ‘Resigned’ as soon as the Employee’s resignation has been accepted, without hampering the access until the expected separation date is reached.
This can be done via the Work Information section but please note that updates through the Bulk Upload feature are not yet included in this enhancement. Rest assured, we'll keep you posted for updates regarding this!
The functionalities and behavior of the previous version for resigned Employees are retained, making it easy for users to adapt to the change. Meaning, once the Employment Status is automatically changed to Resigned, the following will take effect:
- As an Employee, all your accesses will be revoked.
- As an Admin, you will no longer be able to generate reports (Leave Report, Overtime Report, etc.) and attendance applications (Leave, COA, OB, etc.) concerning a resigned Employee. You would have to set the Employment Status to Probationary first before generating the reports and applications of the employee.
Note:
For the expected separation date, you will still have to put one day after the Employee's last day of work
- e.g. the Employee's resignation date is on March 10, 2022. On the Expected Separation Date field, you will need to put March 11, 2022.
In line with the abovementioned newly added functionality, we also made some enhancements in the entire Work Information section. We divided the fields into semantic groups and reduced the column from 4 to 3 to increase eye fixation and reinforce consistency to help users accomplish their tasks in the most seamless way possible.
What is the difference between Expected Separation Date and Separation Date?
The Expected Separation Date is an identifier that even though the Employment Status of the Employee is active, he/she is under notice period until that date is reached. Once the current date is equal to the Expected Separation Date, the Employment Status will be automatically changed to ‘Resigned’.
The Separation Date will be auto-populated with the date value of when the Employment status was changed to Resigned, and that will signify as the final day after his/her last day working on the job.
