Employee types are used to separate the employees as Rank and File, Manager, and Officer. We also have other policies that can be enabled backend based on Employee Type (such as the automatic tagging of Absent and half-day) and for record purposes. But how do we assign this in Sprout HR? In this article, we will discuss the steps on how to do this.
Any user with access to edit the Work Information tab will be able to perform this on Employee Profile depending on the Employee Viewing.
1. Go to Employee Profile > Work Information tab
2. Select the corresponding Employee Type for this employee
3. Click Save
You may also change the Employee Type via Bulk Add/Edit Template and please take note that Pay Group is the corresponding Employee Type in Payroll so you still need to select it in the template.
Note: If there is no Employee Type selected in the profile, the employee is automatically tagged as Rank and File.
