For HR and Payroll Personnel, job grade is one of the most common terms that you will encounter. A job grade is a numerical grouping that categorizes positions with the same or similar values in order to properly assign compensation rates and structures. The range of pay for every job within a job grade is often the same, with a minimum and maximum rate being established.
On Sprout HR, users can indicate an employee's job grade (1 - 30) through the Work Information section of the Employee Profile. You can check out the image below.
