Have you ever wondered if it is possible to delete an employee profile or a User from your account? or, How can you remove an Inactive account in both Sprout HR and Payroll?

Employee Profiles on Sprout HR and Payroll serve as the employees' record and virtual 201 files from the time they were associated with the company. But, in what circumstances might a profile be deleted in both HR and Payroll?
In the system, we only allow deletion of employee profiles with no Sprout HR/Payroll transactions. An example of a transaction would be profile changes, attendance applications, logs, payroll processes, etc., and to check if the profile is qualified for the deletion, this is being checked with the help of our Support Engineers.
If the employee is qualified for the deletion, then, you may send us a Change Request Form with the following information so we can process it:
- Employee ID
- System ID
- Employee Name
- Company Name
However, if the Employee Profile has transactions already, deletion is not possible hence, we highly advise setting their profiles to resigned/terminated/inactive by following our Knowledge Article here: How to Update the Employment Status on the Employee Profile instead so that they would not be included in the headcount or you may opt to untick the 'Resigned' so as they won't be included in generating the report.
